Seven year old Delaney Vaden is Imprinting the newborn foal by following the techniques of Dr Robert Miller. This gifted young girl has shown exemplary talent with the young horses. Delaney has imprinted 5 foals this year, adding her own ideas to give the foal new experiences during the first days of life.

This years foal crop is outstanding with babies from Tormento de la Virginia, Retorno LM, Profeta and Muheriego ( Capitan)

Talizman imprinting

This foal was orphaned by his mother. The mare had a very difficult delivery and was not able to pick up her motherly duties. We shared responsibility between other lactating mares on the ranch while supplementing with "Mares Match milk.” Farah, a 25-year-old Arabian mare whom has raised several orphans in the past was brought to the ranch to raise Talizman. She was put to work as a surrogate mom through the use of hormones. Within two weeks she was showing some signs of lactation, by the middle of the third week she took on the baby showing the same signs of bonding any new mother would show. She was totally in charge of the baby through weaning. The connection of these two after being rejected by his own mother and never having real motherly contact was beautiful to watch.
